Bluwalk recently identified a security incident involving unauthorized access to certain files stored in our system.
Following an internal investigation, we detected the exploitation of a technical vulnerability that allowed improper access to attachments classified as private. This vulnerability was immediately fixed, and additional security reinforcement measures were implemented.
What data may have been involved?
The files that may have been accessed include:
- Identification documents (e.g., Citizen Card / ID card)
- Criminal record certificates
- Supporting documents submitted for validation purposes
- Personal data such as name, contact details, address, and IBAN
What are we doing?
- The vulnerability was corrected immediately.
- We strengthened access control mechanisms.
- We activated additional monitoring and commissioned an external technical audit.
- We are cooperating with the competent authorities.
- We implemented further security measures across our infrastructure.
What do we recommend?
Although there is currently no evidence of fraudulent use of your data, we recommend that you:
- Remain alert to phishing attempts or suspicious contacts.
- Do not share authentication codes or banking details.
- Regularly review your bank account transactions.
- Contact your bank immediately if you identify any suspicious activity.
Bluwalk will never request passwords, SMS codes, or banking details by phone or email.
